Historical Sites

Located in Billings Heights, Earl Guss Park is part of the Yellowstone River Greenway Project laying south of Bench Boulevard and adjacent to the MetraPark parking lot, near one of the many access points to Jim Dutcher Trail.

The Canyon Creek Battle Interpretive Site commemorates the battle between the non-treaty Nez Perce followers of Chief Joseph and the U.S. Army on September 13, 1877.

Luther Sage Kelly was born on July 27, 1849, in Geneva, New York. His father, also named Luther Kelly, owned a drug and grocery store in Geneva.

Coulson Cemetery Park, commonly referred to as Boothill Cemetery, is a two-acre, hilltop parcel owned by the City of Billings, located at the intersection of Aronson Avenue and Swords Lane near MetraPark.
